WyVo Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 7, 2026

WyVo: Weights & Volume ("WyVo") is an iPhone lifting log, rest timer, progress tracker, and optional AI Coach. This policy explains what information WyVo handles and how that information is used in the 1.0 release.

Summary

WyVo is local-first. Workout logs, set history, profile settings, Coach conversations, Coach memories, attached Coach photos, and app settings are stored on your device unless you choose to send relevant Coach context to an online model provider.

WyVo does not create a WyVo account, does not run ads, and does not use your data for tracking.

Information Stored On Your Device

WyVo stores the following information locally on your device:

This local data is stored using Apple's on-device app storage systems. WyVo does not operate a WyVo account service for the 1.0 release.

Apple Health

Apple Health access is optional. If you enable heart-rate snapshots and grant permission, WyVo reads recent heart-rate samples from Apple Health so it can attach relevant heart-rate snapshots to workout events, set logs, rest timers, and Coach context.

WyVo does not write data to Apple Health in the 1.0 release. WyVo does not sell Health data, use Health data for advertising, or use Health data for tracking.

If you use an online Coach provider, WyVo may include HealthKit-derived heart-rate context when it is relevant to the Coach response. This can include heart-rate summaries, set-level BPM fields, and whether heart-rate snapshots are enabled or permission has been requested.

You can manage Health permission in iOS Settings.

Camera And Photo Library

Camera and Photo Library use is optional. Camera is used only when you attach photos to a Coach conversation. The Photo Library picker is used only when you choose a profile photo or attach photos to a Coach conversation.

WyVo uses the camera only to capture a photo you choose to attach. WyVo uses the Photo Library picker only for photos you choose to import. WyVo does not scan your photo library.

Profile photos are stored locally with your profile settings. Attached Coach photos may be stored locally with the related Coach conversation. If you use an online Coach provider, current-turn photos and relevant prior Coach photo context may be sent to the selected provider when WyVo asks that provider for a Coach response. Offline Preview does not send photos to an online provider and does not analyze image pixels.

Coach And Online Model Providers

Coach can run in Offline Preview or through an optional online model provider selected in Settings.

Offline Preview is keyless and does not send Coach conversation context to an online model provider. It is a local preview mode and is not an AI model response.

If you select an online provider, WyVo sends a request directly from the app to that provider over HTTPS. Supported provider options in the 1.0 settings include OpenAI, OpenRouter, Anthropic, Gemini, and Grok. Online Coach requests may include:

Generated Coach context omits the stored profile name. However, user-entered messages, notes, memories, and attached photos may still contain information you choose to enter, and that information may be sent to the selected provider when relevant to the response.

Online providers process requests under their own terms and privacy policies. WyVo does not control how those providers retain or use data after you send a request to them.

Provider API Keys

If you use an online Coach provider, you provide your own provider API key. WyVo stores provider keys in the device Keychain and uses them only to authenticate requests to the selected Coach provider.

WyVo does not send provider API keys to WyVo servers in the 1.0 release. You can remove saved provider keys from Settings > Coach Model.

Notifications

WyVo may ask for notification permission so it can show rest timer alerts and test alerts you trigger from Settings. Notification permission is optional and can be managed in iOS Settings.

No Ads Or Tracking

WyVo 1.0 does not include third-party advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, tracking SDKs, or App Tracking Transparency tracking. WyVo does not use your data to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

Data Sharing

WyVo shares data only in these cases:

Deleting Data

You can delete workouts, sets, Coach conversations, Coach memories, attached photos, and saved provider keys using available in-app controls where provided. Deleting WyVo from your device may remove local app data from that device. You can remove saved provider API keys from Settings > Coach Model.

Data already sent to an online model provider is handled under that provider's own terms, privacy policy, and retention controls; WyVo cannot delete data from those provider systems for you.

Children

WyVo is intended for users who are old enough to use fitness tracking and optional AI coaching features in their region. WyVo is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

WyVo may update this privacy policy as the app changes. The latest version will be posted at the privacy policy URL used in App Store Connect.
